Ronald:Hey Bill. What’s going on? I just got back from the gym and I am exhausted. It was a great workout.

Bill: That’s cool. Did you do free weights or the Nautilus equipment?

Ronald:All free weights my man. Today I worked my shoulders and chest. I did some major bench press work. My personal trainer was there, so I was able to max out on the bench press. He gave me a spot. I benched 350 pounds.

Bill: That’s better than your personal best of 338. Nice job. If you are lifting that much you are going to bulk up. I hope you are prepared to get some new shirts!

Ronald:No. My shirts that I have now are pretty loose. I have some room to grow.

Bill: What did you do to work your shoulders?

Ronald:For shoulders I just grabbed a couple of dumbbells and did some presses. Not too much weight though. I was already feeling the burn in both my chest and shoulders from the bench pressing.

Bill:Sounds like you are hitting the gym pretty hard. What’s going on? Do you have a new girlfriend?

Ronald:No. Nothing like that. I just want to get in shape. I spent the holidays eating and drinking way too much. It is time to get serious about working out again.

Bill:Well, I am impressed. I wish your motivation was contagious. To be honest with you, all I feel like doing is sitting in front of the TV and eating potato chips!

Ronald:You lazy bum. You’re coming to the gym with me tomorrow. I’ll pick you up at 6:00 AM. Be ready.

Bill: That sounds horrible. I usually don’t wake up until 9:00 AM. I’m going to say yes though. I’m sick of looking at my fat stomach in the mirror. See you then.
